Tanker Fire Sparks Panic Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Near NASFAT Camp

Panic broke out on Wednesday after a petrol-laden tanker went up in flames along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, directly in front of the NASFAT prayer ground.
According to eyewitnesses, the tanker fell while in motion and caught fire shortly after, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and causing chaos among motorists and residents in the area.
An X user, SegunOladejo_, who identifies as #EndSARS Segun | Legal, wrote, “A tanker is burning on Lagos-Ibadan expressway just opposite NASFAT praying ground. The fire is horrible.”
As of the time this report was filed, emergency responders had yet to arrive at the scene.
This incident follows a similar explosion that occurred on Monday between the Oremeji and Olorunsogo areas of the same expressway, which led to major traffic disruption. While no casualties were reported in that case, the fire burned for several hours before it was eventually contained by the Oyo State Fire Service.
