Tacha Akide Says Many Nigerians in the UK Are Struggling Financially Despite Perceptions

Reality TV star Tacha Akide, who recently relocated to the United Kingdom, has shared candid thoughts about the harsh financial realities many Nigerians face abroad.
In a recent video, Tacha revealed that a large number of Nigerians living in the UK are struggling to stay afloat due to the high cost of living, contrary to the widespread belief that life abroad guarantees wealth and comfort.
“You see those of you always having an inferiority complex in Nigeria, thinking everyone here is rich—most people here are broke,” she said. “The most broke people I have met are actually the people I met in the UK. Everyone is holding themselves. It is expensive as f$ck.”
Tacha went on to say that many Nigerians back home are, in fact, doing better financially than those abroad. “Most people in Nigeria are living better off than most people here,” she added.
Her comments have sparked debate online, with many resonating with her take on the pressures of living overseas.
