Support Tinubu Now to Secure Igbo Presidency — Rep. Ogah

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, has urged Ndi Igbo to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid as a strategic step toward achieving an Igbo presidency in the future.
Ogah, who represents the Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, stated that since 1999, the South-East has neither produced the president nor vice president of Nigeria largely because, in his words, “they don’t have anybody then.”
He advised that the region should seize the opportunity to consolidate alliances by supporting Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 and then appeal to Northern leaders ahead of the 2031 general elections.
“Politics is all about appealing,” Ogah said, emphasizing that sustained engagement and negotiation are key to realizing the ambition of producing the nation’s president from the South-East.
