Snoop Dogg Joins Swansea City Ownership, Calls Club an ‘Underdog That Bites Back’

Snoop Dogg has officially become part of Swansea City’s ownership group in a surprising twist for the Championship side.
The iconic rapper said he was drawn to the club because of its underdog spirit and working-class roots, which he said “struck a chord” with him. “This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me,” he said.
His involvement follows Croatian star Luka Modrić’s stake in the club earlier this year, and the 2023 takeover led by American investors Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen—who reportedly connected Snoop to the deal.
While Snoop previously expressed interest in investing in Scottish club Celtic, his focus is now firmly on helping Swansea return to the Premier League.
Snoop said he’s excited to play a role in the team’s journey. “I’m proud to be part of Swansea City. I’m going to do all I can to help the club, and I look forward to getting to know all my YJBS.”
In another surprise, Snoop was featured modeling the club’s 2025-26 home kit, and a mural of him is set to be painted at the stadium’s west stand.
With over 35 million albums sold and more than 100 million followers across social media, his involvement could open Swansea up to a massive new global audience.
