Shooting Stars Assistant Coach Akin Olowokere Dies After Collapsing During Training

The newly appointed Assistant Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Ibadan, Oyo State, Akin Olowokere, has died after collapsing during training on Monday morning.

Eyewitnesses told PUNCH Online that Olowokere slumped on the pitch during the team’s training session and was rushed to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead. The cause of his death is yet to be officially disclosed.

The former Sunshine Stars of Akure player and later coach was recently unveiled as one of the Oluyole Warriors’ new coaching staff following the exit of Gbenga Ogunbote’s crew.

Olokowere, known for his soft-spoken nature, played for Sunshine Stars for years before transitioning into coaching. He also previously served as the club’s assistant coach under Edith Agoye.
