Sanwo-Olu Charges Corps Member to Contribute to Meaningful Projects

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, has charged the NYSC Corp members to contribute to meaningful Projects and as well embrace challenges at their Place of Primary Assignment.(PPA).
The governor was represented by the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Social Development Pharm(Mrs)Toyin Oke Osanyintolu At the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch C stream 2 corps members held in NYSC permanent orientation iyana-ipaja Lagos.
She encouraged corps members to prepare ahead their PPA by embracing cultural and regional boundaries.
“Going to your PPA, you must recognize the importance of Lagos State in culture, languages and traditions, and give it your strength”.
She urged all corps members to exemplify the principles of discipline and cultural diversity, She also commended all NYSC coordinators and concluded that all Lagosians and institutions should embrace young, vibrant, energetic corps members in the center of excellence.
“They are expected to accept their postings in good faith and report promptly to their place of primary assignment, as they have been in accordance with the NYSC policies.”
The State Coordinator , NYSC Lagos, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang revealed that the corps members have been equipped with enough skills, leadership training, paramilitary drills, and social activities that will empower them in the labour market.
She explained that after the closing ceremony, the corps members will receive their posting letters, which will formally launch them into their PPA
The corps members were cautioning against embarking on unnecessary and unauthorized journeys out of Lagos state.”If you must travel, you are required to obtain permission through the proper channels” she narrated.
Recall that Asiwaju media already reported that 5,316 corps members, consisting of 2,162 males and 3,154 females, would be serving in Lagos State under the stream.
However, some of them were sent to Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun states for the orientation course.
The Closing ceremony also featured presentation of Commendation letter to deserving Staff and corps members.
