Music promoter Sam Larry has sparked fresh outrage online after a video surfaced showing him greeting Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu with folded hands during Saturday’s local government elections.

The now-viral clip captures the showbiz figure approaching the governor, bowing slightly with clasped hands in a respectful gesture before exchanging pleasantries.

The moment triggered a wave of criticism from social media users, many of whom still associate Sam Larry with the events surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.

“No matter how you try, the truth must be revealed,” one Instagram user wrote.

“You dey greet governor but still never clear your name,” another commented.

Sam Larry faced public backlash in 2023 after multiple videos surfaced showing him allegedly harassing Mohbad, including one where he disrupted a music video shoot featuring Zlatan and the late artist. He was later arrested by Lagos police in September 2023 following mounting pressure from the public.

An autopsy was conducted after Mohbad’s body was exhumed, and Governor Sanwo-Olu ordered a full investigation, involving the DSS and police.

In a previous interview with VeryDarkMan, Sam Larry denied any role in Mohbad’s death, saying their conflict was due to a financial dispute. “He owed me for a show he didn’t attend. I never harmed him,” he claimed.
