Russia to Begin Human Trials of AI-Powered Cancer Vaccine in 2025

Russia is preparing to launch human trials of a groundbreaking cancer vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology—the same institute behind the Sputnik COVID-19 vaccines.
Preclinical studies have reportedly shown that the vaccine can suppress tumor growth and prevent the spread of cancer (metastasis).
The vaccine is uniquely designed for each patient, using artificial intelligence to analyze the genetic makeup of their tumors.
The first human trials, focusing on a melanoma-specific version of the vaccine, are expected to begin in late 2025 at the Hertsen Research Institute and the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center in Moscow.
