Rising Star Borja Gómez Dies at 20 After Tragic Crash in European Stock Championship

The motorsport world is mourning the loss of Borja Gómez, a promising 20-year-old Spanish motorcycle rider, who tragically passed away on July 3, 2025, following a fatal accident at the Magny-Cours circuit in France.
Gómez was competing in the European Stock Championship and was leading the series at the time of the incident. The fatal crash occurred during a high-speed section of the track when he lost control and was struck by another rider shortly after going down. Despite the swift arrival of medical personnel, Gómez succumbed to his injuries.
His death has sent shockwaves through the racing community, with tributes pouring in from fans, fellow riders, and organizations. MotoGP legend Tito Rabat and Spanish football club Cádiz CF were among those who paid homage to Gómez, praising his immense talent, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the sport.
