Reviews of criteria for paying content creators on X – MUSK

Elon Musk has said that as the social network comes under mounting criticism as becoming a conduit for misinformation, updates to posts on X will no longer be funded.
Since re-branding Twitter as X, Musk has completely removed content moderation, reinstated the accounts of extremists who had been banned, and made it possible for users to buy account verification, which helps them make money off of widely shared content.
Musk has promoted ‘Community Notes’ created under the former owner, Jack Dorsey, in which X users police the platform, as a tool to combat misinformation.
In his tweet on Sunday stressing that posts corrected by ‘Community Notes’ will be ineligible for funds.
“Making a slight change to creator monetization: Any posts that are corrected by @CommunityNotes become ineligible for revenue share. The idea is to maximize the incentive for accuracy over sensationalism” he posted.
