Real Madrid Star David Alaba Visits New Afrika Shrine in Lagos, Draws Crowd of Excited Fans

Real Madrid star David Alaba drew a crowd in Lagos yesterday after making a surprise visit to the iconic New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja.
The Austrian international, who proudly embraces his Nigerian heritage, was warmly received by fans as he toured the cultural hub. A video circulating online shows Alaba arriving at the Shrine and pausing to take pictures with excited onlookers.
Though Alaba played a key role in Real Madrid’s victorious 2023/2024 campaign—where the club secured both the Champions League and La Liga titles—he has endured a difficult 2024/2025 season due to recurring injuries.
Despite limited appearances this season, the versatile defender remains an important figure in Madrid’s backline, valued for his leadership and adaptability on the pitch.
