RAMADAN: Muslims Charged to Look Out For the Moon

Muslims in Nigeria have been charged to look for the new crescent of RAMADAN 1445 AH, today Sunday the 10th of March 2024 equivalent to the Islamic Calendar 29th of Shaaban 1445 AH
The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar made the call on Sunday.
In a statement signed by the Chairman Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs Sultanate Council Sokoto, Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu says if sighted, the information should be forwarded to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to the Sultan
The following telephone numbers have been provided to Muslims for reporting the new moon to the Sultan’s palace.
