Ramadan: messages of hope, faith, and compassion

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a sacred period observed by Muslims around the world.
It is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and giving. It is a month dedicated to spiritual renewal and strengthening one’s connection with God.
Beyond the physical act of fasting, Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection and growth. It teaches Muslims patience, tolerance, prayerfulness, charity, kindness, and devotion.
At the heart of Ramadan lies compassion. Muslims are encouraged to give generously to the less privileged, feeding the hungry and supporting those in need.
It is a reminder that true blessings are found not in wealth but in kindness, empathy, and the act of sharing.
As the crescent moon signals the arrival of Eid al-Fitr at the end of the month, Muslims celebrate not only the completion of fasting but also the personal growth, forgiveness, and closeness to God they have achieved.

“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.” – Qur’an 2:183

“And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive.” – Qur’an 76:8
