PSG Claim First UEFA Super Cup With Penalty Win Over Tottenham

Paris Saint‑Germain claimed their first UEFA Super Cup title in dramatic fashion, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 4–3 on penalties after a thrilling 2–2 draw at Stadio Friuli in Udine.
Tottenham appeared in control for much of the match, taking a 2–0 lead with goals from Micky van de Ven just before halftime and Cristian Romero early in the second half. However, PSG staged a late comeback, with Lee Kang‑in scoring in the 85th minute and substitute Gonçalo Ramos leveling the score in stoppage time to send the game to a penalty shootout.
In the shootout, PSG held their nerve while Tottenham faltered, with Nuno Mendes converting the decisive spot-kick to secure a 4–3 victory.
The win marks a historic first Super Cup triumph for PSG and highlights the team’s resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
