Protesters In Niger State dispersed With Gunshots

Prostesters in Minna, Niger State who took to the streets to express their displeasure over the high cost of living in the country have been dispersed with Gunshots fired on them
The protesters in their great numbers, including women and youths were chanting protest songs, thereby affecting the free flow of traffic at the protests location.
Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba, addressing the protesting residents of states appealed for calm, saying the government was aware of the pain and hardship being experienced.
A group of women as early as 7am blocked the Minna-Bida Road around the Kpakungu roundabout to express their grievances over the rising cost of food items.
