Pretty Mike Reveals Childhood Sexual Abuse, Warns Parents Against Double Standards

Nigerian socialite and businessman Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, has spoken publicly about being sexually abused by two housemaids when he was a child.
Appearing on a recent episode of the In The Company Of Men podcast, he disclosed that he lost his virginity at the age of 13 as a result of the abuse.
Pretty Mike emphasized the need for parents to protect their sons just as much as their daughters.
“Men have been encouraged to come out to talk about sexual abuse and being taken advantage of sexually at a tender age,” he said. “I lost my virginity at 13 to my housemaid. Not even one, but two.”
He reflected on how the experience affected him. “Did that change my orientation about sex? Yes. Am I coming out to report it to say that something negative happened to me? I think I have decided to let it go, especially at that age. Nowadays, 13 can even be seen as an adult sometimes.”
He pointed out that younger victims are even more vulnerable. “For people that were taken advantage of at 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, it is totally no because they had no idea,” he said.
Pretty Mike also criticized the tendency of parents to only focus on protecting girls when hiring domestic staff. “Parents always consider their female children when hiring domestic workers, but what about the male child? They are all young. There shouldn’t be a double standard. Look out for your kids and make sure nobody takes advantage of both the female and the male,” he advised.
