President Tinubu Pays Last Respects to Slain Military Personnel

President Bola Tinubu is attending the burial of the 16 military personnel who were killed in the Okuama community in Ugheli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The burial of the deceased troops is scheduled for today, Wednesday.
The Commanding Officer of the 181 Amphibious Battalion, two majors, one captain, and 13 soldiers of the battalion were among those killed on March 14, while responding to a distress call following trouble between the Okuama and Okoloba communities.
They were said to have been ambushed by angry youths during a communal clash over a land dispute in Bomadi and Okuoma communities in the state.
The horrific manner in which the military personnel was killed drew condemnation from the authorities, including President Tinubu, the Nigerian Senate, the defence headquarters, and the Delta State government.
President Tinubu described it as an attack on the nation and directed security agencies to fish out the attack’s masterminds.
