Porsha Williams’ Estranged Husband Simon Guobadia Deported to Nigeria

Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, has been deported to Nigeria following months in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.
The 61-year-old businessman was removed from the United States after being detained at the Stewart Detention Center in Georgia since his arrest by immigration authorities in February 2024. A source close to Guobadia confirmed his deportation and noted that he remains in good spirits, even expressing hopes of meeting former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Since returning to Nigeria, Guobadia has reportedly launched a T-shirt line aimed at creating awareness and offering support to others affected by immigration-related detentions.
Guobadia, who first arrived in the U.S. in 1982, had overstayed his visa on two separate occasions—an issue that barred him from obtaining U.S. citizenship. His deportation comes in the midst of a pending divorce from Porsha Williams, who filed to end their marriage in early 2024 after 15 months together.
The legal battle had been delayed due to Guobadia’s detention, but with his immigration case now settled, court proceedings are expected to resume virtually from Nigeria.
Williams has since removed “Guobadia” from her Instagram bio, signaling a firm move toward closing this chapter.
