Police Interrogate Pastor Paul Adefarasin Over Viral Gun Incident

The Lagos State Police Command has begun questioning Pastor Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock, over a viral video showing him with what appeared to be a firearm.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, Adefarasin voluntarily presented himself at the command headquarters in Ikeja, where he is currently being interrogated.
The video, which recently circulated on social media, captured the pastor rolling down the tinted window of his unregistered Range Rover and pointing a gun-like object at a content creator before driving off. The clip triggered widespread outrage, with many accusing him of illegally possessing a firearm.
Adefarasin has since denied the allegation, insisting the object was not a real gun.
The police, however, confirmed that an investigation had been launched as soon as the footage surfaced online.
“Pastor Paul Adefarasin has turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, and is currently being interrogated by detectives,” the statement read. “An investigation had already commenced following the emergence of a video showing the pastor pointing a gun-like object at another road user while driving in an unregistered vehicle. The outcome of the investigation will be made public.”
