Police Inspector Caught on Video Assaulting Wife Over School Fees

A police officer has come under fire after a disturbing video surfaced showing him assaulting his wife in the presence of their young children—all because she asked for money to pay their school fees.
The officer, identified as Inspector Olowookere Michael of MOPOL 39 Squadron in Osogbo, is said to be from Ijero, Ekiti State, and bears the service number AP/No. 312249. In the video, Olowookere was seen punching and attacking his wife as their children screamed and pleaded with him to stop.
A police source, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, disclosed that the officer had been arrested and is currently facing an orderly room trial.
“Information from Zone XI Command Headquarters, Osogbo, revealed a video of Inspector Olowookere Michael, a serving police officer, repeatedly beating his wife while the children were seen crying and pleading for him to leave their mother alone,” the source said.
The source further explained that the confrontation reportedly began after the children were sent home from school due to unpaid fees, just as their third-term examinations were about to begin.
