The Nigeria Police Force has debunked a viral “wanted” poster targeting Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, describing it as fake and misleading.

The poster, which spread widely on social media, falsely claimed the actress had been declared wanted and that a reward was being offered for information leading to her arrest.

In a statement released on its verified Facebook page Thursday morning, the Force clarified that the poster did not originate from any of its official channels.

“Fake news alert! This ‘wanted’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading and was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard and stop spreading fake news. Verify only from official NPF channels,” the statement read.

The police advised Nigerians to ignore the poster and refrain from sharing false information.
