Platoon 8 Wins Interplatoon Drills Competition

Platoon 8, among other Platoons on camp, have won the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Orientation Course Interplatoon drills competition at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
The Interplatoon drills competition which came in a new format, different from what have been experienced in the Camp in the past, tested one Platoon per time, with the judges emphasizing on Quick match, while slow match was completely removed and without play from the band.

Under an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and camaraderie, each Platoon delivered, showcasing their utmost dedication and resilience in an evening as hot as a December hot afternoon. At the end, Platoon 8 emerged the winner, while Platoon 9 clinched second place and Platoon 6 third.
The victory of Platoon 8 in the contest, however reflected not only their outstanding coordination and uniformity but also underscored teamspirit and commitment as ingredients to achieve such a laudable feat.

Sponsored by Diamond Bricks Global Investment Ltd, the winner of the contest went home with the sum of #50, 000 while second and third positions won #30, 000 and #20, 000 respectively.
In recognition of good infantry leadership, the Camp Commandant, Major IM Ibrahim, also rewarded the best three Platoon commanders with cash gifts.
