PDP LG Secretary Fatally Shot by Bandits

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have shot dead, the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Musa Ille.

The incident occurred on Monday night when the assailants attacked Ille in front of his residence.

On Tuesday, the PDP Chairman in the local government Garba Garewa confirmed the tragic event on national TV expressing suspicion that the perpetrators were bandits.

He recounted that the assailants entered Ille’s residence and opened fire, resulting in his death.

The gunmen reportedly lured Ille outside by asking him to check something at the rear of his house. Unaware of the danger, Ille stepped outside where he was met by armed bandits.

The police authorities in the state are yet to issued a statement regarding the incident.
