Pastor Enenche didn’t mean to disrespect Vera Anyim – Dunamis Church

Dunamis International Gospel Centre has responded to a trending viral video depicting the church’s senior pastor, Paul Enenche, confronting a woman during her testimony in the church.
According to Sylvester Edoh, the Secretary to the Senior Pastor, in a statement, the church expresses regret for any inconvenience, hurt, or embarrassment caused to Ms. Anyim Veronica Nnenna by the unfortunate incident.

The statement also indicates that Pastor Enenche is deeply concerned and has reached out to her.
The church maintains that the senior pastor had no intention of causing harm or hurt to the testifier.
The incident occurred on Sunday when a video started circulating on social media showing Pastor Enenche questioning the authenticity of a testimony given by a member claiming to have obtained a Law degree.
Many people reacted to the video, questioning why the pastor publicly challenged the woman’s testimony. Subsequently, it was confirmed that the woman had indeed graduated from a Nigerian university with a degree in Law.
WHAT happened?
The controversy arose when Dr. Paul Enenche challenged the woman who testified to graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Law from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
In the video, Pastor Enenche disputed the validity of her testimony, stating that there is no such degree as BSc in Law.
He interrupted her testimony, insisting that she either had an LLB or BL degree. The church later clarified that Pastor Enenche halted the testimony because it was based on false information.
In response to the incident, Nigerians expressed mixed reactions on social media. Some supported Pastor Paul Enenche, alleging that the woman’s testimony was false. Others criticized the pastor for allegedly embarrassing her publicly, arguing that even if she was wrong, she should not have been corrected in such a manner. Some Nigerians stood by the woman, demanding a public apology from the church. Meanwhile, photos of the woman and her name in the National Open University of Nigeria’s graduation brochure circulated online, serving as evidence to support her claims and prompting calls for a public apology from the church.
