Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde Gifts SUV to Yinka Ayefele After Music House Fire

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, presented a brand-new Sports Utility Vehicle to popular gospel singer and broadcaster Yinka Ayefele, Chairman of Ibadan-based Fresh FM Radio 105.9, following a fire that ravaged the Music House last Friday.
The fire, which gutted the Music House, destroyed property worth several millions of naira, according to reports by The PUNCH.
During the presentation in Ibadan, Governor Makinde commended Ayefele for his resilience and his significant contributions to the entertainment industry and media development in both Oyo State and Nigeria.

Ayefele, who has been counting his losses since the inferno, was visibly emotional as the keys to the SUV were handed to him by the governor’s representative, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Otunba Ademola Ojo.
Speaking at the Ayefele Music House in Challenge, Ibadan, Makinde said, “On behalf of the State Governor and the State Government, we are here to commiserate with you. You are a symbol of perseverance and inspiration to millions of Nigerians. On behalf of the Governor and the state government, we present this gift to you.”

It is recalled that Governor Makinde had visited the station a day after the fire to console Ayefele and assess the extent of the damage.
