Olympics: Nigeria makes history with triple qualification in Women’s long jump

In a historic moment for Nigerian athletics, Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro, and Oluchi Ochonogor have all qualified for the final of the women’s long jump at the Paris Olympics.
This unprecedented achievement sets the stage for a thrilling final.
Brume, Bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics leaped 6.76 metres in the qualification to finish second behind USA’s Tara Davids Woodhall with 6.90 metres.
A seasoned veteran, Brume, has consistently delivered exceptional performances and is expected to be a strong contender for the gold medal.
Usoro, a rising star, has made significant strides in her career and will be looking to capitalize on this opportunity to shine on the world stage. She qualified in the 3rd place right with a 6.68 metres leap.
The debutant Ochonogor has also exceeded expectations and will be eager to make her mark in the final. Her 3rd place finish in the group B qualification with 6.65 metres earned her a place in the final.
