Ola Aina Signs New Three-Year Deal With Nottingham Forest Until 2028

Nigeria international Ola Aina has signed a fresh three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, extending his stay at the Premier League club until June 2028.
The 28-year-old full-back initially joined Forest in July 2023 on a one-year deal after leaving Italian side Torino. He quickly established himself in the squad, playing a key role in helping the club avoid relegation in his debut season.
Forest triggered a one-year extension clause in Aina’s contract in May 2024, shortly after confirming their Premier League survival. According to The Athletic, the club have now rewarded him with a long-term deal, signaling their continued trust in his consistency and versatility.
Ola Aina featured predominantly as a right-back under head coach Nuno Espírito Santo during the 2024–25 campaign, making 37 appearances across all competitions. His contributions helped Forest finish seventh in the Premier League and reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
Since arriving at the City Ground, Aina has played 59 times for Forest, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
His contract renewal follows similar extensions for right-back Neco Williams and centre-back Murillo, whose deal now runs through 2029. Head coach Nuno Espírito Santo also signed a new contract in June, committing to the club until 2028.
Aina, a Chelsea academy graduate, made six senior appearances for the Blues before loan spells at Hull City and Torino, eventually joining the Italian side permanently in 2019. He also spent the 2020–21 season on loan at Fulham.
Although born in London and capped by England at youth level, Aina switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2017 and has since earned 40 caps for the Super Eagles.
