Ogah Approves NECO Fees Payment for 1,000 Candidates after 4 Million Extortion Allegations

Rt. Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions, and Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, has approved the payment of NECO fees for 1,000 prospective candidates from Ikwo and Ezza South Local Government Areas.
This announcement comes barely 24 hours after the Honourable was embroiled in a controversy surrounding allegations of extortion.
However, the allegations were later debunked, and it appears that the Honourable is keen to focus on his constituents’ welfare.
The landmark gesture also includes scholarships for 200 indigent students from JSS1 to SS3, empowering them to pursue their educational goals.
In support of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s education initiative, this move is expected to have a significant impact on the educational landscape of the region.
To benefit from this initiative, prospective NECO candidates are advised to visit the Chinedu Ogah Foundation Office, located at 153 Afikpo/Baracks Road, Abakaliki, with their Local Government Identification Letter for registration and data capturing.
The registration period is from Monday, April 7th, 2025, to Monday, April 21st, 2025. For more information, contact 0701 650 0993, 09037282809, or 0803 297 4516.
The Honourable’s office has congratulated the beneficiaries of this initiative and wished them success in their academic pursuits.
