Oba Dethrones Six Lagos Chiefs for Attending Labour Party Campaign Flag-Off

Six traditional chiefs in Lagos State have been dethroned for attending the campaign flag-off of the Labour Party (LP) in Apapa ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The Ojora of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom, Oba AbdulFatai Oyegbemi, announced their removal on Monday during a palace meeting, stating that the chiefs attended the political event without his knowledge or approval.
Oba Oyegbemi also accused the chiefs of breaching palace protocol by allegedly impersonating him at the campaign event.
The affected chiefs include Chief Taiwo Hassan (Bale Oke Ira), Chief Saliu Biliamin (Bale Alafia Dodoro), Chief Lateef Ojora (Bale Alaba Oro), Chief Idris Ojora (Bale Abule Kere), Chief Sule Balogun (Balogun of Abule Kere), and Chief Hakeem Oseni (Bale Mosafejo Amukoko).
In a statement released by the palace, the monarch said the decision was taken to preserve order and uphold the integrity of his leadership structure.
