NYSC Lagos Vows Support for Youth Empowerment, Job Creation

The National Youth Service Corps in Lagos has pledged readiness to participate in the Local Content Development Hub(LCDH) in a bid to support Youth Empowerment, and artisans in achieving a 70 billion dollar economy, and create 50,000 direct jobs for the youths across the federation.
The State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, represented by the Assistant Director, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, Mrs. Stella Nweke made the pledge at the groundbreaking event of the empowerment programme held at the Lagos on Thursday.

The programme “Beyond Oil.” was convened by Jordan FM CEO and supported by Roseat Forte Nigeria Ltd targets to support youths, and artisans in achieving a 70 billion dollar economy; and create 50,000 direct jobs for the youths in the 774 Local Government Areas across the federation.
The State Coordinator expressed the readiness of the NYSC to be part of the Youth Empowerment programme, stating that the NYSC corps members are already domiciled in all the Local Government Areas of Nigeria.

She said the NYSC core message to corps members in the current reality is to be self-employed and wealth creators to be out of the clutches of unemployment.
The progrmme was graced by Bank of Industry, Nirsal Bank, Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative, Trade and Investment, Industrial Training Fund, Lagos State Ministry of Youths and Social Development.
