Youth corps member Ushie Rita Uguamaye, known as Raye, has expressed frustration after being denied her NYSC certificate despite completing her service year in Lagos State.

Raye, who gained attention for a viral video criticizing Lagos and President Tinubu’s government, shared her experience in a new video. She alleged that the Eti Osa Local Government Inspector (LGI) refused to clear her for April, even though she showed up on the scheduled date.

She said the LGI repeatedly told her to “go to the back,” then eventually refused to attend to her, seized her file, and ordered her to leave.

Despite the setback, Raye said she is moving on but described her service year in Lagos as “a waste of my time.”

In a detailed post, Raye wrote:

“I debated sharing this but decided to. After one year serving in a place that’s not mine, I ended with no certificate and was told to come back for a final verdict we all know won’t be favorable. I genuinely wish I wasn’t a Lagos State corper because serving here wasn’t a pleasure.

“They claim I didn’t clear for April on my scheduled date, but I was there. The LGI kept sending me to the back, then when ready to clear me, she refused, seized my file, and told me to leave.

“This is a long story, and I don’t mind sharing it in full. The anger I feel is deep because I don’t know where to direct it. But I wish myself the best and am closing this chapter.”
