Nonso Diobi Opens Up About Being Single At 48: “I Was Seeing Relationships Through A Script”

Veteran Nollywood actor Nonso Diobi, 48, has opened up about his single status in a heartfelt interview, shedding light on why he has yet to settle down.
The actor revealed that while he has made efforts to build relationships with the hope of getting married, none have worked out. He attributed this to his early rise to fame and growing up in the public eye.
“I grew up on TV and don’t know what it means to be a regular guy,” Diobi admitted. “I’ve tried to build relationships that would lead to marriage, but there was something I was doing wrong. I was seeing them through a script.”
According to him, his “scripted” approach to love, shaped by years of acting and living in the spotlight, may have prevented him from forming genuine connections that could lead to marriage.
