On Thursday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS) at its retail outlets in Abuja.

According to Daily Post, NNPCL stations in the Federal Capital Territory have adjusted their pump price to N890 per litre, down from N945. The new price is already in effect at outlets including Danziyal Plaza Mega Station, Central Area, Wuse Zone 4, Wuse Zone 6, and other NNPCL filling stations across the capital.

The price cut represents a reduction of N55 per litre. “It was reduced to N890 per litre this afternoon, down from N945,” an NNPCL fuel attendant confirmed anonymously to Daily Post.

This follows similar price adjustments at MRS Empire Energy stations, which on Thursday lowered their pump prices to N885 and N946 per litre, down from N910 and N955 respectively.

The reductions are linked to Dangote Refinery’s recent ex-depot petrol price review, which dropped by N30 to N820 per litre from N850, alongside changes in international crude oil prices.
