NLC queries ‘okada riders’ over indiscipline

The Nigeria Labour Congress has cautioned the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN) to instill discipline in members as they carry out their duties.
Deputy General Secretary of NLC, Comrade Denja Yaqub made the call at the swearing in of new executive members of the union in Abuja.
Comrade Yaqub advised the union not to allow criminal elements to destroy the reputation of the union.
The new President of the Union, Alhaji Olusola Sotayo noted that motorcycle remained a viable choice means of transportation and has also been a source of livelihood to many families.
The NLC had expressed dismay over the decision of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to ban motorcycles in the territory.
