Nigerian Lady Sparks Controversy, Says She Can Only Date Men Earning ₦15 Million Monthly With a Car

A Nigerian woman has ignited heated debates across social media after boldly declaring that any man who wants to date her must earn a minimum of ₦15 million per month and own a car. Her reason? She refuses to “trek around” or settle for a man who can’t cater to her luxurious lifestyle.
The controversial statement was shared in a now-viral video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @dammiedammie35. In the clip, the woman unapologetically stated that she cannot date a man earning ₦1 million monthly, claiming it’s far too little to support both their needs.
“I spend ₦2 million monthly just to take care of myself,” she said. “How much will I use to buy hair if my man is earning ₦1 million? I’m dating him so he can take care of me.”
The lady also revealed she is not a university graduate, having dropped out due to financial hardship. Despite this, she emphasized her desire for a wealthy partner who can meet her financial expectations.
“I can’t date a guy who doesn’t have a car. I’m not going to be trekking everywhere. A man must earn at least ₦15 million monthly if he wants to date me,” she added.
Her comments have since gone viral, sparking intense reactions across social media. While some criticized her unrealistic standards, others viewed her remarks as a reflection of shifting relationship dynamics in Nigeria.
Here’s what people are saying online:
- @Kolaqhazim: “Na this kind girl dem dey use do money ritual.”
