Netizens Laments Over Ebonyi’s Poor State Despite Huge Internal Generated Revenue

According to the Federal Government, a total amount of 25.11 billion naira was generated from ebonyi state in 2024 as internally generated revenue. These have however got netizens talking over having that huge amount yet they are still in a very pitiable situation.

Meshack Chinonso, a netizen whined about Anambra being the only state generating more revenue than Ebonyi in the Southeast. In his words, “Why are people heartless,only Anambra generate more income than ebonyi in the whole of SE, yet we’re the poorest, tufiakwa what shall it benefit you from rooting (looting) all these money yet your people are suffering,odikwa njo ooo,” he commented.

“i was shocked when i saw this, these people in the government in Ebonyi State are setting Ebonyi State backward, that so called rotation of governor in Ebonyi State should be scrab because that is nothing doing us good at all, you build airport in the state where there is no industries no investors can the airport functions the answer is no,” Sunday Nwafor, another netizen wrote.

To another user, Henry Njoku, Eboyians are seen struggling in neighboring states just for survival because of how bad the present government administration is.

“Despite all this,  you see ebonyians in every state of the federation struggling to survive, the administration of FON is wicked,  and he expects us to keep quiet,” Mr Njoku wrote.

Several comments obtained by ASIWAJU Media beamed different assertions, but there is uniqueness in their voices, which is anger, disappointment and a need for a better state.
