The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has unveiled a detailed timetable to guide preparations for the 2026 Hajj, urging pilgrims, state boards, and private tour operators to strictly comply with the outlined schedule.

The commission disclosed the timelines in a statement released on its official X account on Friday.

According to the plan, the process officially begins in November 2025 with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi authorities. By January 4, 2026, all camp booking payments must be settled and service contract packages confirmed.

The next major step comes on February 1, 2026, which is the deadline for uploading transport and accommodation contracts on the Nusuk Masar portal.

NAHCON further emphasized that March 20, 2026 will serve as the final deadline for visa issuance, warning that “there will be no extensions under any circumstances.”

Another critical milestone is October 8, 2025, set as the deadline for states and licensed operators to remit funds in order to secure their slots.

“These timelines are non-negotiable. All stakeholders must ensure early compliance to guarantee a smooth and hitch-free Hajj for Nigerian pilgrims,” the commission said.

Observers note that with rising global demand for Hajj slots, strict adherence to Saudi Arabia’s digital and logistical requirements has made NAHCON’s schedule a decisive factor in ensuring Nigeria’s full participation in the 2026 pilgrimage.
