Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all billing, invoicing, and contract reconciliation activities related to TowerCo operations. This includes centralized management of all tower provider (TP) invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy in commercial expenditure tracking (both Operational Expenditure – OPEX and Capital Expenditure – CAPEX), and maintaining financial transparency for lease agreements, tenement rates, and related infrastructure costs. The position plays a pivotal role in maintaining an accurate database of tower site configurations, contract compliance, and collaborative interfacing with legal and finance departments to resolve contractual or billing disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of all TowerCo infrastructure, ensuring that details such as RF parameters, tower and antenna specifications, and site configurations are consistently recorded and verified.
- Track all modifications to the network, including site decommissions, halted projects, and change requests, and reflect these updates accurately for effective work order issuance and readiness for integration (RFI).
- Work closely with internal teams such as Finance and Legal to resolve any invoice or contract-related disputes and ensure compliance with financial protocols.
- Collect, validate, and record all invoices from Tower Providers and Distributed Antenna System (DAS) vendors, ensuring alignment with executed tasks before submission for purchase requisition (PR) and purchase order (PO) generation.
- Monitor the billing lifecycle closely, escalating discrepancies or issues that may impact invoice validation or reconciliation processes.
- Analyze projected RFI timelines and site quality to proactively identify risks that could impact billing accuracy or payment timelines.
- Collaborate with RF Planning and Network Operations teams to ensure real-time tracking and status reporting of decommissioned or suspended sites.
- Manage lease negotiations with landowners, focusing on terms that include rent, lease duration, renewal clauses, and termination provisions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all approved contracts and agreements with TowerCos and related partners, maintaining a high standard of compliance and documentation.
- Continuously support process improvement in billing, data management, and contract administration to drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required.
Professional Experience:
- A total of 6 to 13 years of relevant industry experience.
- At least 6 years of direct involvement in telecom infrastructure, project management, or related technical functions.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing teams or leading project execution.
- Familiarity with multi-vendor network environments.
- Experience working in structured, medium-sized organizations with a focus on telecoms or engineering operations.
