Moon sighted in Nigeria, Sunday is Eid-el-Fitr
The new moon of Shawwal 1446AH has been sighted.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared tomorrow the thirties of March 2025 as the first day of Shawwal 1446AH.
Speaking shortly after the sultanate Council meeting on Shawwal Moon sighting meeting the sultan, Sultan confirmed the sighting of the new moon which marked the end of Ramadan fasting in the Country.
The Sultan urged Muslims in the country to maintain their devotion to worshipping Allah SWT and pray for the country Unity and prosperity.
His Eminence extended his well wishes and happy Edil- fitir Sallah celebration to all Muslims in the Country.
