Mohamed Salah Becomes First Player To Win PFA Men’s Player Of The Year Three Times

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has made history as the first player to win the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award three times.
Salah, who previously claimed the honor in 2018 and 2022, beat a six-man shortlist featuring Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and Arsenal’s Declan Rice.
The 33-year-old’s latest accolade follows a stellar 2024/25 season in which he led Liverpool to the Premier League title, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 29 goals and providing 18 assists. He also secured the Premier League Player of the Season award and was voted Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers was named Young Player of the Year, while former England boss Gareth Southgate received the 2025 PFA Merit Award.
