Mixed Reaction Trails Reno’s Accusations Against Obi

An aid to the former president Goodluck Jonathan and an ally of President Tinubu, Reno Omokri, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) this afternoon with a disturbing claim and question against former governor of Anambra State, and presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last election Peter Obi.
In the post, Mr Reno pointed at the fact that the majority of students from the south east would have dropped out, save for the student loan program, yet, Peter Obi turned a blind eye.

“Thousands of students in universities all over the Southeast are in school because of President Tinubu’s Student Loan Program, and Peter Obi, who did not build even one nursery, primary, or secondary school and university while he was Anambra Governor for eight years, has said absolutely nothing about this good news. But if one piece of bad news about Nigeria starts circulating, you can trust Peter Obi to rush and post it, regardless of whether it is true or false,” the post reads in part.
He further speculated whether Mr Obi does not want these youths in school,
“Maybe he would have preferred if those youths stayed at home drinking his Hero beer!”
“Come on, people, am I lying?” He questioned.
Affirming Reno’s claim, a verified X user identified as Yaya Oseni, said, “Peter Obi is the commander in chief of bad news.”
Another verified user, Oladele A commented, “He’s a prophet of doom.”
Disputing Reno’s claim however, a user, identified as James Emeh stated in his comment about his (Reno’s) claim being a blatant fallacy. He further whined about south east students topping in public examinations and school attendance.
“You are a bloody pathological liar. Before, the Tinubu Student Loan Program, South East has always come tops in public standardized examinations and school attendance. Much as the Loan is ok, education in the south east is an industry,” James commented.
“School loan! And after the school, no empowerment; no jobs! Please can you reach out to the government, we are looking for employment, we that have graduated! Thank you.” Ghazali Adamu Umar, another user reiterated.
