Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Set for Exhibition Fight in Spring 2026

Two boxing legends, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, have officially agreed to face off in an exhibition match set for spring 2026, TMZ Sports reports. The bout, organized by CSI Sports and Fight Sports, does not yet have a confirmed date or venue, but both fighters have expressed enthusiasm for the historic showdown.
“This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen,” Tyson said. “Boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable — and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets. I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”
Mayweather, however, remained confident. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,” he said. “You already know that if I am going to do something, it’s going to be big and it’s going to be legendary. I’m the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.”
The fight will not affect Mayweather’s perfect 50-0 professional record but marks another high-profile return for both men. Mayweather last fought professionally in 2017 against Conor McGregor, though he has since participated in several exhibition bouts, including one against Logan Paul.
Tyson’s most recent fight was in November 2024 against Jake Paul, a match that drew 108 million viewers worldwide. His last professional fight before that was in 2005 against Kevin McBride.
