Mike Premium Debunks ₦1 Billion Claim, Says Phyna Only Sought Medical Evacuation For Late Sister

Talent manager Mike Premium has dismissed widespread claims that BBNaija star Phyna demanded ₦1 billion from the Dangote Group after her sister, Ruth Otabor, was fatally injured in a truck accident. He clarified that the reality star’s only request was for her sister to be flown abroad for urgent medical treatment.
In a series of statements, Mike Premium explained that he had been handling the case privately from the onset, providing legal support to Phyna, who was unsure how to pursue justice for her sister.
“Not once did we talk about ₦1 billion as a demand! False narrative!” he wrote. “The first and most urgent appeal was to fly her sister abroad for treatment because it was clear her condition required advanced care that wasn’t available locally. Instead of compassion and immediate action, she was met with delays, excuses—and now tragedy.”
He stressed that Ruth’s death was not an accident of fate but the result of human negligence. “Dangote no get two head as long as I’m concerned. Him no better pass me or the person he killed. We are the same in the presence of God. They should do the right thing.”
Mike Premium also issued a warning to blogs and online platforms spreading the ₦1 billion demand story. “Any blog or page posting that Phyna demanded ₦1 billion—if you don’t present credible evidence, I will personally make sure you spend some of your clickbait earnings in court,” he said.
He shared screenshots of Phyna’s own messages, showing that her immediate priority was medical evacuation. “But first I will demand an immediate arrangement to fly her to India. First let’s start with that so that she can be attended to first,” one message read.
Condemning the false reports, he urged people to let Phyna and her family grieve. “You people are trying to push a young woman into depression after everything she went through fighting to save her own blood sister—a sister whose school fees she’s been paying for years. This case? Phyna will get justice. Mark my words: no one born of a woman can stop it.”
Reaffirming his position, Mike Premium added: “My intentions have been pure, and my actions have always been to seek justice and compassion—nothing more. Let Phyna and her family rest. They’re already carrying enough pain. As for Dangote Group, justice must be served.”
