Manchester United Sign Benjamin Sesko On Deal Until 2030

Manchester United has confirmed the signing of Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko, subject to registration, on a contract running until June 2030.
The 22-year-old joins from RB Leipzig after scoring 21 goals and providing six assists last season, earning the record for the most goals by any player under 23 in Europe’s top five leagues over the past two campaigns. A Slovenia international since 2021, Sesko has already won 41 caps and scored 16 goals for his country, becoming their youngest-ever debutant.
Sesko expressed his excitement about joining United, saying the club’s rich history and ambitious future convinced him it was the perfect place to fulfil his potential. “When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the positive energy and family environment. I cannot wait to start learning from Ruben [Amorim] and connecting with my team-mates to achieve the success we know we are capable of together.”
United’s director of football, Jason Wilcox, described Sesko as “one of the most exceptional young talents in world football,” praising his pace, physicality, and determination. He added that the club’s research confirmed Sesko’s qualities and personality would allow him to thrive at Old Trafford, with the environment in place to help him reach his world-class potential.
Wilcox also highlighted that the eagerness shown by all of United’s new signings this summer underscores the club’s enduring appeal and ambition to compete for top honours.
