Man Caught on CCTV Stealing Phone at Lagos Gym

A man has been caught on CCTV stealing a mobile phone at a gym in Lagos, an incident that has sparked outrage online after the footage went viral.
The theft occurred on the morning of June 3, 2025. In the video, the suspect is seen posing as a gym-goer, casually walking around before discreetly picking up an unattended phone using his cap. He then quickly exits the premises.
The footage was shared by influencer Pamilerin Adegoke and has since attracted widespread attention on social media. Several users claimed the same man has been involved in similar thefts at other gyms across Nigeria.
One user, @RetroactiveTB, commented, “I swear he stole my phone two months ago in another gym.”
As of now, the suspect remains at large. Authorities have urged members of the public to report any information that could help identify or locate him. Gym-goers are also being advised to stay alert and keep their personal belongings secure while using fitness facilities.
