Malcolm-Jamal Warner, ‘The Cosby Show’ Star, Dies At 54

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his iconic role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died at the age of 54.
According to reports, the actor drowned while swimming during a family vacation in Costa Rica.
Warner rose to fame in the 1980s playing the lovable son of Cliff and Clair Huxtable on the long-running NBC sitcom. His performance earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He remained a key part of the show throughout its eight-season run from 1984 to 1992.
Beyond The Cosby Show, Warner built a rich and diverse career. He starred in the UPN sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, had recurring roles in series like Suits, Major Crimes, and The Resident, and most recently appeared in 9-1-1. He was also a voice actor on The Magic School Bus, where he voiced the character of the narrator.
In addition to acting, Warner was a talented musician and won a Grammy Award in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance. He also co-hosted the podcast Not All Hood, which focused on mental health within the Black community.
Known for keeping his personal life private, Warner is survived by his wife and young daughter.
His sudden passing has left fans and colleagues mourning the loss of a multi-talented performer whose work left a lasting mark on television, music, and beyond.
