Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, has hinted at going through a difficult personal phase, following a series of public controversies surrounding his relationships.

The Afro-pop icon made the revelation during a candid conversation on the 234Mzansi podcast, where he was interviewed by media personality Nedu.

Tuface’s comments come months after he confirmed the end of his 13-year marriage to actress Annie Idibia, a move that shocked fans and stirred widespread conversation. Not long after, he got engaged to politician Hon. Natasha Osawuru—a development that only added to the public drama.

In the midst of this new relationship, reports emerged that Tuface’s family had declared him missing. His mother even pleaded publicly with Natasha to “free her son.” Natasha later posted a video smiling alongside Tuface’s mother, further fueling online speculation and confusion.

During the podcast, Nedu asked the singer a pointed question:
“When it comes to relationships, when it comes to women, when it comes to marriage… You’re my guy and I love you so much, but, are you OK?”

Tuface’s response was cryptic but telling:
“This thing they call ‘living in bondage’, it’s real.”

He went on to say that he’s aware of people who “are ready for him to die,” suggesting that he’s dealing with deep emotional and possibly mental strain.
