The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Lagos Secretariat has flagged off the 2025 Batch B Stream I Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training, encouraging corps members to acquire at least two income-generating skills before completing their service year.

Speaking on behalf of the NYSC Director-General during the opening ceremony, Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, emphasized the importance of self-reliance in today’s highly competitive job market.

She urged corps members to take full advantage of the diverse skill sets offered through SAED, ranging from ICT and agro-allied services to shoemaking, event planning, and green energy solutions.

Mrs. Stella Nweke Talatu, Head of SAED in Lagos, outlined that the training would be delivered in two phases: in-camp sensitization and post-camp enterprise development.

She stressed that participation is compulsory and revealed that NYSC Lagos is currently collaborating with over 100 partner organizations, including Unity Bank, Credicorps, and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), to support corps members throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
