Lagos Corps Members Showcase Nigeria’s Rich Heritage

The 2024 Batch C Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Lagos orientation camp have celebrated Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through a cultural carnival.
The event, which showcased traditional dances, music, and attire from various regions, was aimed at promoting unity and cultural appreciation among the corps members.
According to the State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, the event was a celebration of Nigeria’s unity in diversity. “Our cultural diversity is our strength, and it is our responsibility to preserve and promote it for future generations,” she said.
The carnival featured a dance competition and cultural showcase, with Platoon 4 emerging as the overall winner. Platoon 9 and Platoon 10 took second and third positions, respectively.
The event was attended by dignitaries and corps members, who all praised the initiative as a way to promote cultural appreciation and unity among Nigerians.
