In a commendable display of leadership and community impact, Lagos Corps Member Zainab Ajide (LA/24B/3426) has been awarded the Ikeja Local Government Chairman’s Award for her exceptional service during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year.
The award was presented during the commissioning of key infrastructure projects and empowerment initiatives organized by the Ikeja Local Government Area (LGA).

Zainab (Lagos Corps Member) stood out among her peers for executing a high-impact community development project that transformed seven pit toilets into modern water closet facilities at St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Ikeja. The NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, represented by Mrs. Grace Oso, Assistant Director of CDS, praised Zainab’s commitment, resilience, and passion for community service.
The award ceremony attracted several notable dignitaries including Hon. Balogun Majeed, Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Mrs. Abimbola Yewande, Zonal Inspector, Ikeja Zone, Mrs. Ojimi Bose, Local Government Inspector, Ikeja LG.
